Please note that on Tuesday, July 13, at 9:30 A.M., Chancellor Jane Upshaw of the University of South Carolina Beaufort/New River will be hosting a meeting at the Palmetto Electric Company's Conference Room located just west of Sun City's 278 Gate.

 

The meeting will focus only on an update of the progress regarding the student housing partnership, with an emphasis on the process rather than the actual building plans.  Because USCB/New River continues its negotiations with the selected developer it is still too early to garner specifics regarding the building(s) themselves.  However, Chancellor Upshaw has agreed to a follow up meeting at Sun City to provide residents relevant information when the University's plans are further along and in a position to be shared. 

 

The July 13, meeting is open to the public, and should enable us to learn more about the process involved, but please keep in mind that the follow up meeting, when scheduled, will provide more of the specific details Sun City's residents are seeking.
