On Friday morning, October 8th, at 9 AM, the Sun City Government and Business Affairs Committee will be sponsoring an open community meeting in Pinckney Hall to discuss the proposed 1% increase in sales tax to be used for capital improvements in Beaufort County.

 

Following presentations by Paula Harper Bethea (Co-chair of the Capital Projects Commission), Hank Johnston (Mayor of Bluffton), Scott Richardson (State Senator), and Ken Hull (President of the Sun City Community Association), the floor will be open for comments, both pro and con. 

 

This discussion will provide each of us with an opportunity to raise questions, share views, and get the facts concerning this important issue so that we can make an informed decision when we vote on November 2.

 

Coffee and donuts will be available from 8:30 until 9:00.
