The Board of Directors met in a workshop on Wednesday, October 12. The
following summarizes the meeting:

The 2006 Budget proposal will be presented to the community by the
Finance Committee at a meeting to be held in Pinckney Hall at 8:30 AM on
Thursday, October 20. The meeting will be taped for re-broadcast on
Channel 50 at 4:00 PM on 10/20, 10/21, 10/22, 10/23, 10/24, 10/25 and
10/26. Following questions and comments from the Neighborhood
Representatives and the residents at large, the Finance Committee will
decide whether or not to recommend approval of the budget proposal by
the board at the October 27 meeting of the Board of Directors. This
will be the only presentation of the budget proposal to the community at
large.

The Community Association Annual Meeting/Town Meeting will be held early
in November. The date is a little fluid right now but we'll give you
plenty of notice. Following the mandatory actions required at the
Annual Meeting, the Town Meeting will convene. Following a review of
results against 2005 Goals and Objectives, the floor will be opened to
questions and comments from the residents on any area relative to
Community Association operations. This event will also be televised on
Channel 50.

Procedures for implementation of the guest fees approved at the July
board meeting were reviewed. These procedures will be announced in the
November issue of Sunsations and will go into effect November 1, 2005.

The Resident board members presented a proposal for appointments to the
board-appointed committees to go into effect November 1, 2005. These
appointments will be presented for a vote at the October Board of
Directors Meeting on Thursday, October 27.

A proposal by the Safety and Services Team for extensive reorganization
of front gate operations was reviewed. Management was directed to
proceed with this project.

A proposal to deal with short-term shortages in office space in Pinckney
Hall using modular offices was reviewed and management was directed to
proceed with this project.

Management was directed to develop a proposal for multiple owner use of
an RV lot.

A newspaper shelter similar to the one at Pinckney Hall will be built at
the Hidden Cypress Center once the parking lot is complete

Installation of the traffic light on Hwy. 278 is lagging because of
bureaucratic requirements with the State.
