Things You Should Know

The voting locations are as follows:

Look on your voter registration card to find your voting precinct.

If you live south of the north entrance to Hampton Circle or the north entrance to Stratford Village Way, your residence is probably in Sun City Precinct 3.

South Carolina law limits a voter to three minutes in the voting booth; however, Beaufort County has extended that limit to five minutes. If you have not completed voting at the end of five minutes, the poll managers have been instructed to ask you to leave the voting booth until you make your voting decisions. At that time you can request to enter a voting booth and cast your ballot.

Sample ballots are available at each precinct. You can read these while you are waiting in line. The ballot choices are numbered, and if you take a pencil and paper you can record the numbers of your choices and, once in the voting booth, just look for those numbers on the ballot.

If everyone comes prepared to cast a ballot the election should run efficiently with very little waiting in line.
