The University (USCB) administration has graciously agreed to allow the residents of Sun City to vote on their campus at the Hargray Building.
You will NOT be voting at the fire station
You may vote ABSENTEE from April 7 to April 25 at the following Election locations: 15 John Galt Road in Beaufort (left on Hwy. 170 across from Lowes, to the Beaufort Industrial Park) OR Hilton Head Island Town Hall on Hilton Head Island, 1 Town Center at the Wexford light. Hours are 9 to 4.
To have a ballot mailed , you must complete the application process. We must receive your request prior to April 23. We must receive your COMPLETED ballots NO LATER THAN 7PM on Sat. April 26th. If a voter chooses to vote on a paper ballot by mail, he/she must be certain to follow the directions completely. This includes signing the back of the envelope and having the signature witnessed. Failure to have the envelope signed and witnessed will make that ballot invalid by law.
To cut cut down on the time with mailing ballots, we can FAX applications to voters, and they can fax them back to us. We cannot FAX a ballot, nor can we give a ballot to someone else for a voter.
Attached to this message is a map of the campus and our voting locations there. All of Sun City will be able to vote in the Hargray Building which is the large building facing Hwy. 278. Parking there is plentiful and the building is handicapped accessible. We will also be providing many signs directing voters as to where they should go to vote.
Thank you for your help and understanding as we continue to try to make voting as convenient as circumstances permit.
Marilyn Caprielian
Commissioner, Beaufort County Board of Elections
