A. Subject:   Pool Policy
Background:  The Community Association provides reasonable access to community pools by residents and their invited guests, while preserving the active adult character of the community.  However, the intent of these noted changes is to discourage regular usage of the pools by individuals who are invited guests of residents and live in the immediate area.  Pool rules will be uniformly enforced, along with all other community rules.

Proposed changes to the pool rules are as follows:

  1. "Children" are defined as anyone 4 through 18 years of age.

  2. "Adults" are defined as anyone 19 years of age or older.

  3. Children's hours in all of Sun City Hilton Head's pools are 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily.  Designated lap lanes will continue to be reserved for lap swimmers during children's hours.

  4. An adult must accompany all invited guests under the age of 16.

  5. Children must be at least 40" tall in order to use any of the pools.  Children who are over the age of 4 and less than 40" tall may use any of the pools by presenting a document showing proof of age.  Children who are not potty trained cannot use any of the pools.

  6.  Invited guests who are not accompanied by their resident host must enter the Barataria and Hidden Cypress pool areas through the fitness centers.  All unaccompanied invited guests must have and be prepared to show a Guest Pass issued under the SCHH Guest Pass Policy.

  7. Residents must display their Activity Card and invited guests must have available and display their Guest Pass upon request by a Pool Monitor, Staff Member, or Security Officer.

  8. Residents may not, under any circumstances, allow anyone else to use their Activity Card to gain access to the pools.  Any resident allowing misuse of an Activity Card is subject to suspension of their Activity privileges.

Residents and invited guests must use the indoor or poolside restrooms at the Barataria Pool.  Return from the poolside restrooms by unaccompanied invited guests must be through the fitness center.  At the Hidden Cypress pool, residents and invited guests must use the poolside restrooms or the restrooms located in the fitness center.  At the Riverbend Pool, residents and invited guests must use the poolside restrooms.  Bathing attire is not allowed inside the Riverbend Lodge, the restaurants, or the pro shop areas at the Hidden Cypress facility, or in any other community buildings.

B. Subject:  Board of Directors' 2005 Goals - Bob Mahnke
Background:  During a retreat/workshop held earlier this month, the Board created goals and objectives for 2005.  The Board proposed to formally adopt those goals and objectives at this meeting.  Note:  Since this action is internal administrative action of the Board, no audience participation is required.  An overview presentation will be provided.
