Meeting minutes by Bea Boockholdt.

Present – Marilyn Fletcher, outgoing chairwoman; Bob Rasmussen, Bea Boockholdt, Perry Molinaro, Holly Field, Steve Koehl, Barbara Wells, Eddy Rayford, Hal Dutton, Bruce Tennant, Al Reuben, Richard Vetter

The meeting was opened by Marilyn.

The September minutes were accepted.

New committee members were introduced: Barbara Wells, Eddy Rayford, Hal Dutton, and Bruce Tennant.

Marilyn conducted the Election of Officers. Results were: Chairman: Perry Molinaro, Vice-Chairwoman: Barbara Wells, Secretary: Bea Boockholdt

Members thanked Marilyn for her leadership in the past. The meeting was turned over to new chairman.

Sub-Committee Reports

Broadcast: Barbara Wells is the new chair. Committee assistant Judy Barry will continue. Hats and jackets with Broadcast logo will be provided to increase visibility of Broadcast workers. Sunrise Readers: The Club Fair netted 11 new volunteers. Due to lack of visibility gooseneck podium mike stands were installed. TV Channels: The soloist is down. Announcements will only be on Ch 50 for now. A minimal charge will be assessed for tape copies of Sun City shows. Billboard: Is back on the air with new equipment. The Technical Group under Bob Rasmussen’s leadership reported that all technical equipment requested for purchase was approved by the Board of Directors /Finance Committee. The Broadcast analog TV terminates in 2009 – we need to discuss what actions we need / want to happen.

Publications: The SunSations will be re-formatted by Richard in March 2006. Advertisers are being turned down as the magazine is trying to stay at 35% ad space in magazine. Currently printing 5400 copies a month.

Telephone Directory & Map: The Sun City directory will be out the first of March. Full community rules and digest of C.C.& R. plus By-Laws will be included. Maps: Bob is trying to get the new street information for a new map to be printed, hopefully soon since the neighborhood of Murray Hill already has new residents.

NewComers’ Welcoming Group: Bea’s activity report for October showed the group had greeted or assisted 147 people from 86 homes. Held three coffees with 58 people from 34 homes. Welcome New Resident column had 142 names representing 84 homes.

Official Website : Richard stated it should be in place by the end of 2005. He is targeting March 2006 for community use.

NEXT MEETING: Wednesday, December14 at 1PM (NOTE TIME CHANGE). Please let Perry know if you will or will not be attending; also if you have items for the agenda.
