Process For Technical College of the Lowcountry Moves Forward
[Note: the following is a personal correspondence from Anne McNutt, President of the Technical College of the Lowcountry, to a few community leaders at Sun City Hilton Head. -- Ed.]
Last evening the Beaufort County Council unanimously
approved at its third and final reading the amendment to the PUD [Planned Unit Development agreement] to allow for a school on the land we have under
contract to purchase from Del Webb!
The next steps are for the college to assign the
contract to purchase the property to the county and for the property to be
purchased. We are already beginning to work with architects and
engineers to design the campus and the first building.
Thank you so much for your support of this project, and
I will continue to keep you informed as we work to establish a campus
in the Southern part of the college's service area.
