Palmetto Commons, across from Magnolia Hall, is the place to drop off Association Fees.

The total annual Association Fees will increase by $25 to $1880 in 2010.

TYSK Hotline (705-3976) is new. It is a communication tool especially for residents without email access to stay informed with Things You Should Know.

All Community Concerns can be directed to Sue Sweeney, our new executive director. She will forward the concerns to the appropriate departments and see to it that there is follow-up. The Concern Forms are available just inside Palmetto Commons, and under Forms (Community tab) on the Sun City Website.

Live SC TV, Classifieds, Community Forms and the Resident Directory are located on the Sun City Website, Community tab.

Lifestyle Services is now located in Pinckney Hall behind the glass doors in the area vacated by Resident Services, the old CAM office. Have a cup of coffee even if you don’t have to wait in line.

The Book Exchange is located in Pinckney Hall just outside the glass doors and, as always, is open to all Sun City Residents.

The Pulte Staff will be moving from the Administration Building to Palmetto Commons December 11-14.

Magnolia Hall has Hearing Assistance systems that can be checked out by leaving your Activity Card with the attendant at the box office. For the systems to be available, the sponsoring activity needs to remember to sign them out from Lifestyle Services.

The British Open Pub (BOP) is now open at 7 am for breakfast. Their discounted gift cards are available until December 24.

Nexx Faze, Jocelyn’s new hair salon location in the Food Lion Shopping Center is projected to open by January. Her Riverwalk and present Nexx Faze Salons will be consolidated to this one larger space.

The new USCB Campus Dining Center is open to the public with reasonable prices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is located on the University’s US 278 Bluffton South campus.

The Coastal Tire & Auto Repair Store behind Wendy’s has closed.

Candlewood Suites, just outside Sun City by the Sun Trust Bank, is projected to open by January.

Monster Pizza just opened their doors in the previous location of the Hide Away, in the center across from Sun Trust.

Publix, by Wal-Mart, is projected to open in June.

The first phase of the National Health Care Center, across from Sun City on SC 170, is projected to open in January. This new 20 acre site will have an initial capacity of 120 nursing home beds. This is a multi-phased facility, which will include accommodations for a skilled nursing program, is part of one of their next phases.

Terminology changes in Sun City:

The name Reflections is no longer applicable. All of Sun City Hilton Head is divided into Neighborhoods. Some of the new Neighborhoods in the area previously known as Reflections are Foxlake, Mariners Cove, Rivergrass, Whispering Oaks and Wildlife.

Facilities Services was known as Facilities Maintenance. CAM Office is known as Resident Services. Our Activity Card used to be called our CAM card. CAM is now called the Community Association. Activities Department is now Lifestyle Services.
